Job Description

BMO is currently sourcing for an Intake Triage Manager. This is a hybrid contract role in Toronto (exact days in office per week to be confirmed).

Role Overview

The Intake Triage Manager supports the Commercial Banking division by managing the intake and triage of new requests. The role involves reviewing submissions, facilitating prioritization discussions, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring smooth transition from intake to delivery. This position plays a key role in optimizing request management and governance processes to enhance business value and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day intake and triage of new requests
  • Review submissions for completeness, clarity, and alignment to intake standards
  • Facilitate triage discussions assessing business value, urgency, dependencies, and complexity
  • Support preparation of materials for prioritization and governance forums
  • Partner with business, product, and delivery teams to clarify requests and ensure alignment
  • Maintain intake pipeline and triage logs, tracking status and decisions
  • Follow established intake frameworks and identify opportunities for process improvement

Must-Have Skills

  • 4–7 years of experience in project management, business analysis, and intake/demand management
  • Experience supporting cross-functional stakeholders and governance or prioritization forums
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, PowerApps, and Excel or reporting tools

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience in financial services or large enterprise environments
  • Exposure to both waterfall and agile delivery methodologies
  • PMP, CAPM, or Business Analysis certification

Ideal Candidate

  • Ability to structure ambiguous requests into clear, actionable inputs
  • Experience facilitating prioritization and governance forums effectively
  • Track record of identifying risks, dependencies, and gaps early in the intake process
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and process discipline in intake workflows
