Agile Project Manager

Job Description

BMO is currently sourcing for an Agile Project Manager to support a fraud technology project moving from a waterfall to an Agile delivery model.
This is a hybrid contract role (1 to 2 days in office per week).

Role Overview
This role supports a fraud project at BMO as it transitions from a waterfall approach to Agile delivery. The Agile Delivery Manager leads the project through that change, applying both project management discipline and Agile practices. The project runs on the Enterprise Risk Engine (ERE) platform within the FCU domain. The contract runs through October 31, 2027, with an ASAP start.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the transition of a fraud project from waterfall to Agile delivery
• Manage project planning, scheduling, and delivery using both Agile and waterfall methods
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and support the delivery team in adopting Agile ways of working
• Track progress, risks, and dependencies, and report status to project stakeholders
• Coordinate delivery work on the Enterprise Risk Engine (ERE) platform
• Partner with business and technology teams in the FCU fraud domain to keep delivery on track

Must-Have Skills

• Strong project management skills, equal in depth to Agile skills
• Agile and waterfall delivery experience, with the ability to guide a project between the two
• FCU domain experience, specifically fraud
• Recent BMO experience within the last 4 to 5 years

Nice to Have Skills

• PMP certification

Ideal Candidate

• Previous BMO employee or contractor familiar with how delivery works across the bank
• Experience taking an in-flight project from waterfall to Agile
• A balanced practitioner who applies Agile where it adds value and keeps structured project management in place where it is needed
