Job Description
BMO is currently sourcing for a Process Consultant.
This is an Hybrid contract role in Toronto (3 days in office per week).
Role Overview:
The Process Consultant will work with complex information systems to analyze business and user needs, developing or modifying existing systems accordingly. This role supports business process improvements and system optimization, ensuring alignment with stakeholder requirements and project lifecycle methodologies. The position contributes to enhancing operational efficiency and delivering value-added business solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate detailed business requirements and track business systems issues under supervision.
- Research and document sponsor and stakeholder needs using project lifecycle methodologies and various modeling techniques.
- Estimate activities for requirements gathering and acceptance testing, improving accuracy over time.
- Recommend business solutions that satisfy stakeholder needs and explore options for client value-add.
- Develop end user documentation and prepare training materials as needed.
- Execute and document test plans, performing unit and integration testing to ensure system quality.
- Troubleshoot system problems and maintain systems to optimize performance.
- Document system processes and updates thoroughly.
Must-Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of related experience.
- Experience with SAP systems.
- Knowledge of cost/benefit analysis, risk assessment, and quantification methodologies.
- Proficiency in interviewing, data modeling, business process modeling, business object modeling, and user interface design.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with reporting tools and prototype development.
- Familiarity with project lifecycle methodologies.
Ideal Candidate:
- Demonstrated ability to resolve minor conflicts and issues prior to escalation.
- Experience preparing and delivering presentations and facilitating stakeholder discussions.
- Organized and detail-oriented with a focus on documentation quality.
- Proven teamwork and cooperation in cross-functional environments.
