Project Manager - Fraud X3

Job Description

BMO is currently sourcing for a Project Manager to oversee fraud project delivery within a banking environment.
This is a hybrid contract role in Toronto (2 days in office per week).

Role Overview

This 6-month contract position focuses on end-to-end delivery of fraud initiatives within a banking sector client. You will manage both IT implementation and business delivery processes, working across compliance, technology, and business teams to ensure projects meet regulatory standards and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee fraud project delivery from initiation through closure, managing scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards
• Utilize MS Project and Clarity to track project progress, resource allocation, and reporting to stakeholders
• Implement and manage both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies based on project requirements
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address project and business risks
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including business, technology, and compliance stakeholders
• Use ServiceNow for project management, issue tracking, and change management
• Ensure all projects maintain compliance with banking regulations and internal governance standards

Must-Have Skills

• 8-10 years of Project Manager experience in banking or financial services
• Proficiency in MS Project and Clarity for project tracking and reporting
• PMP or PMI certification
• Strong understanding of IT implementation and business delivery processes in a banking environment
• Hands-on experience managing both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• ServiceNow experience for project management and issue tracking
• Demonstrated experience managing fraud or cybersecurity projects in banking

Nice to Have Skills

• Familiarity with banking compliance and regulatory standards
• Experience in banking operations

Ideal Candidate

• Background managing fraud, cyber, or risk-related initiatives within a regulated financial services environment
• Track record of successfully delivering complex IT implementation projects on time and within scope
• Experience working with multiple stakeholder groups in banking environments
