Job Description
BMO is currently sourcing for a Senior Salesforce Developer.
This is an onsite contract role in Toronto (5 days in office per week).
Role Overview:
This role involves developing and customizing Salesforce applications to support business operations. The developer will work on technical design, coding, testing, and deployment activities, ensuring scalable and high-quality solutions. The position impacts the efficiency and effectiveness of Salesforce platforms within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and customize Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, and Flows.
- Translate functional requirements into detailed technical designs.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with QA and Salesforce administrators to ensure quality delivery.
- Lead a team of Salesforce developers to deliver scalable solutions on Sales Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, and other Salesforce platforms.
- Own technical design, architecture, and enforce best development practices.
- Manage code reviews, deployment activities, and maintain documentation.
- Support and mentor junior developers.
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Apex, LWC, Aura, triggers, flows, SOQL, JavaScript, JSON, and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Salesforce Platform Developer II certification.
- Experience with Salesforce development lifecycle and tools including Git, VS Code, Code Builder, and Salesforce DX.
- Proficiency in Salesforce DevOps practices and development frameworks.
- Knowledge of database design concepts, integration techniques, and user interface development.
- Expertise in Salesforce data model, security, governor limits, and performance optimization.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and Salesforce integrations.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Salesforce System Architect and Application Architect certifications.
- Experience leading development teams or acting as a Salesforce development lead/architect.
Ideal Candidate:
- 8+ years of Salesforce development experience with at least 2 years in a lead or architect role.
- Proven ability to manage technical design and architecture for complex Salesforce solutions.
- Experience mentoring and supporting junior developers.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platforms including Sales Cloud and Financial Services Cloud.
